Last year, action sports center SNÖBAHN opened a state-of-the-art 38,000-square-foot facility in Thornton, Colorado with four of our SkiMachines. This marked a major step forward in SNÖBAHN’s mission to make skiing, snowboarding, and other action sports more accessible. Supported by Unrivaled Sports and Olympic legends Shaun White and Bode Miller, SNÖBAHN’s newest location brings together expert training, top-tier equipment, and a strong sense of community, helping to build a bright future for indoor snow sports in the USA!
SNÖBAHN’s Thornton Center
The new Thornton facility features four advanced Treadmill SkiMachines that simulate real snow conditions, providing safe and consistent training regardless of weather conditions. Beyond skiing and snowboarding, the center also includes a skate, scooter, and BMX park with a Big Air jump designed by California Skateparks, the same team behind the courses for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the X Games. There’s also a trampoline freestyle zone with seven MaxAir performance trampolines, a jump tower, and a run wall, making this one of the most complete action sports centers in the country. While indoor ski centers are common in Europe, SNÖBAHN is leading the way in the USA, giving its community year-round access to winter sports. Each year, over 14,000 people train at the center, and 98% of them become lifelong snow sports enthusiasts.
This expansion is supported by Unrivaled Sports, a company focused on youth and recreational sports development. Their partnership, along with support from Ares Management and The Chernin Group, is helping SNÖBAHN bring indoor snow sports to a growing community of action sports lovers.

Our investment with Unrivaled Sports aligns with our commitment to investing in companies that enrich communities and inspire the next wave of athletes. Through our successful We Are Camp properties and now SNÖBAHN, athletes love the unique experiences they encounter, which enhance their skills and deepen their passion for action sports.
Official SNÖBAHN ambassadors: Shaun White & Bode Miller
SNÖBAHN’s mission is supported by two of the biggest names in winter sports: Olympic Gold Medalists Shaun White and Bode Miller. Both serve as ambassadors and active partners, bringing their passion and expertise to the project. Together, they embody SNÖBAHN’s commitment to performance, training, and making snow sports more affordable and accessible to everyone. As official ambassadors, it’s no surprise they couldn’t resist taking a quick ride on our SkiMachine, and they did. The kids who were there that day couldn’t have asked for a better experience: meeting their snowboard and ski idols in real life and getting the chance to ask them for tips and tricks. Shaun White even stops by SNÖBAHN from time to time for a skate session and to hang out with the kids.
I saw right away the impact, the potential, that it could have, not just on the ski sport and getting people involved in skiing but in getting people able to do something that is hard and inaccessible in a lot of different ways.
So, I love being around it. I love being a part of it. I get that same excitement. I pop into this place all the time, every time I connect through Denver. I’m like, ‘Oh, I’ll just swing through, say hi to the kids, do my thing.’ So yeah, I’m just investing in the things I like to do.
SNÖBOUND Program: From indoors to outdoors
The SNÖBOUND program is a four-week training plan designed to help skiers and snowboarders build skills and confidence before they hit the real mountain slopes. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, preparing for the season, or just starting out, SNÖBOUND offers a clear and personalized path to improvement. By focusing on technique, timing, and body positioning, the program helps visitors take what they learn indoors and turn it into real progress on the slopes. This kind of preparation is especially valuable in Colorado, where stunning mountain scenery and a wide range of ski resorts with slopes for every level make good training the key to a safe and enjoyable trip. Plus, three half-hour sessions at SNÖBAHN cost less than a typical lift ticket at most major U.S. ski resorts, making it an affordable way to get ready before tackling those mighty mountains. Our advice: when you’re in Denver, make sure to pass by SNÖBAHN for a ride!
