2024 has been an incredible year for SkiMachine! As we step into 2025, let’s take a moment to celebrate the experiences and achievements that made this past year so special – from successful SkiMachine installations to the launch of indoor skiing centers across the globe. Here’s a recap of our 2024 highlights!
SKI INDOOR 4810 expands with a third center
This year began with our engineers traveling to France to install a Treadmill SkiMachine at the newly opened Ski Indoor 4810 in Les Orres. Ski Indoor 4810 first launched in Passy, home to Europe’s largest endless indoor ski slope. The Passy center has become a hub for skiers of all levels—from beginners to elite athletes—and for ski clubs such as Ski Club Mont D’Or, Ski Club Combloux, Ski Club Les Houches, Ski Club Passy-Varan, Ski Club Saint-Gervais, Ski Club Praz-sur-Arly, and Interclub Magland Desert Blanc. Building on the success of the Passy location, they opened a second ski center in Nimes, and now the third center in Les Orres which offers the same top-tier training opportunities to skiers and snowboarders in the picturesque Alps du Sud region. Taking advantage of this stunning setting, one of our engineers even managed to enjoy a day of snowboarding on the breathtaking slopes of the Alps.
Snowsports Bilthoven Welcomes Two New SkiMachines
In January, we had the privilege of installing the first of two SkiMachines for Snowsports Bilthoven. The initial installation was for their “Noordhelling,” or North Hill. Snowsports Bilthoven collaborates with their neighbour MK Ski Service and with Ski School Westendorf and Ski School Mayrhofen in Austria, part of SnowSports Nederland, a training institute for ski and snowboard instructors. With their team of instructors, visitors can quickly develop a solid foundation in skiing techniques, refine their current skills, or take part in advanced workouts designed for experienced skiers to prevent injuries and reduce muscle strain. Later in September, we returned to complete the project by installing the second SkiMachine for their “Zuidhelling,” or South Hill. With both installations now in place, Snowsports Bilthoven is fully equipped to offer exceptional training and winter sports preparations.

Indoor skiing is getting more and more populair in the USA
This year, our team crossed the Atlantic a few times to install SkiMachines at different facilities in the United States. In March, we traveled to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, a charming town near the renowned Steamboat Ski Resort. Nestled in northwestern Colorado’s Park Range within the Routt National Forest, this ski area is a favorite destination for winter sports enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers alike. With stunning natural views and year-round activities, the area offers a picturesque setting that perfectly complements its vibrant community. Our SkiMachine found a new home at SB-NY, a unique concept created by sisters Lexi and Lauren. Combining their love for fashion and community, SB-NY blends personalized ski training with a stylish shopping experience. Customers can test their new ski apparel on the SkiMachine and even enjoy fashion shows hosted right on the slope, making this shop a true standout!
In June, we flew to Portland, this time to install in Beaverton, Oregon, it’s the first indoor SkiMachine in Oregon. This facility, just like SB-NY, combines a ski shop with indoor skiing, offering a seamless mix of retail and training. The PTO ski slope has a surface of 20 wide and 40′ long, and provides plenty of space for skiing and snowboarding. Throughout the year, the PTO team has worked tirelessly to create a top-notch experience, ensuring every detail—from the layout and design to the product selection—is just right. Their facility has now become a hub for the local community, offering premium skiing equipment, accessories, and expert guidance!
Ski grass replacement and maintenance
This summer, much like last year, our team focused on refreshing and upgrading indoor ski centers. A major part of our efforts involved replacing artificial ski grass at several facilities with a fresh layer of our Pro Snow Artificial Ski Grass. This specially designed surface provides a realistic skiing experience, closely mimicking the sensation of skiing on real snow but in a warmer, more convenient indoor environment with no wind, no bumps, no icy surfaces, and no waiting lines!
In addition to replacing ski grass, we conducted maintenance work at several centers to keep everything in optimal condition. We also oversaw two SkiMachine relocations: one from Lyon to Savoie in France, and another within the town of Heerhugowaard in the Netherlands. Furthermore, we completed renovations at our SkiMachine factory and acquired new, improved materials to enhance the quality and performance of our SkiMachines.
Piste Tribe in South Korea
For our last installation of the year, we traveled all the way to Cheongju, South Korea. The new center “Piste Tribe” now boasts two of our larger Treadmill SkiMachines, each with an impressive 7-meter width, making them ideal for group training sessions. During our stay in South Korea, the team at PisteTribe gave us a warm welcome, treating us to delicious local dishes like Korean BBQ. We also took the opportunity to visit Pyeongchang, the host city of the 2018 Winter Olympics, where we managed to snap a photo with the iconic Olympic rings! Fun fact: South Korea spent a whopping $13 billion to organize the Winter Olympics in 2018, showcasing the country’s commitment to bringing the world’s attention to winter sports! By installing more SkiMachines across the country, we aim to support that commitment!
Shaun White and Bode Miller on our SkiMachines
Since opening last year, SNÖBAHN has quickly become a go-to destination for action sports lovers. One of the standout moments this year was the legendary snowboarder Shaun White shredding our SkiMachine! Alongside another industry icon, Bode Miller, Shaun has joined SNÖBAHN as an ambassador. Together with Unrivaled Sports, they are committed to expanding the SNÖBAHN concept and making snow sports more accessible to a broader audience in the years to come. For anyone passionate about action sports, SNÖBAHN is an absolute must-visit, offering an unmatched experience and a vision for the future of snow sports!
